Collective Worship

At Great Milton we hold Collective Worship every day; some days it is the whole school, some days it is in classes or key stages. Some days it is held inside and some days it is held outside. We do not assume faith. We have children in our school of all faiths and none, and we respect these differences. We use collective worship to explore our school values and consider our opinions and reflections on current affairs. We consider what Christians think about current affairs as well as others. We understand that not everyone will have the same opinions or feelings and that is OK; we do not always need to agree with each other, as long as we do this respectfully.

This is our school prayer. All prayer in school is invitational. If children do not pray, they have a moment of silent reflection without preventing others from taking part in prayer. All children respect each other's right to pray or reflect.

School Prayer

This is our school,

Let peace be here,

Let the room be full of happiness,

Let love be here,

Love of one another,

Love of humankind,

And love of (your) God,

Let us remember,

That as many hands build a house,

So many hearts make a school.

Amen
