We hope you all had a wonderful break and are feeling refreshed and ready for an exciting final term of year 1! Tawny owls had a very exciting end to their term with some very special visitors, Mrs and Mrs Pearce with baby Wilfred! It was so lovely to see them.

The terrific Tawny owls have already worked so hard this year, and we are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. This term is packed with lots of fun learning opportunities, special events, and memorable experiences as we head towards the summer.

We have a busy and enjoyable term ahead, filled with lots of hands-on learning and memorable experiences. Some of the exciting events planned include:

  • A Construction workshop with Beard Construction company, this Friday (5th June)
  • Tawny  Trip to Tiggywinkles in July
  • Sports Day
  • Local walks around Great Milton as part of our Geography learning
  • Growing vegetables
  • Pond dipping
  • Transition Days
  • Our Tawny and Barn Owls curriculum workshops will now be every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon

A Few Reminders

☀️ As the weather becomes warmer, please apply sun cream to your child before they come to school each day. Please also ensure your child brings:

  • A named sun hat
  • A named water bottle
  • 🏃 PE Day will be Monday and Friday this term. Tawny owls will have PE with Mr Pearce on a Monday and a 30 min lesson with  tennis coach, Neil James, on a Friday afternoon. Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on this day.

We encourage all children to continue showing kindness, curiosity, resilience, and enthusiasm in their learning. Every day is a chance to grow, discover something new, and make wonderful memories with friends. Thank you for your continued support. Working together helps ensure every child has a happy, successful, and enjoyable end to the school year. If you have any concerns or questions, please make contact with Mrs Sansom, Miss Taylor or Mrs Bennett at the end of the day or via email at office@greatmiltonschool.co.uk.

We look forward to a fantastic term ahead!
