Music plays an important role in school. We highly value its place in enriching childrens’ lives.
Here at Great Milton C of E School we offer various opportunities for learning musical instruments as a peripatetic activity.
Anna Channon - Piano Lessons
Anna is a Concert Pianist and Piano Teacher and teaches piano lessons in school every Monday.
Anna has over 30 years teaching experience, 22 years teaching in England and 12 years teaching at our school.
Anna attended a school for gifted children and can arrange music for her pupils that are preparing for grading or pieces they just enjoy, depending on their own ability.

Abbie Adiri - Violin Lessons
Abbie joins us from Musicland and teaches violin in school every Wednesday.
Abbie is passionate about passing on her joy in music making to children. After studying music at Kings College London, and experiencing freelance orchestral playing throughout London, and much further afield, she decided to focus her attention on string and chamber music tuition, where her true passion lies.
Abbie has taught in the Berkshire, Bath and Gloucester County music systems, and also in the private sector at Maltmans Green prep school. The Latymer School, The Kings School, Gloucester and at Cokethorpe School in Witney. Alongside this, Abbie found her way back to Musiclands base by teaching violin at the Gloucester Academy of Music (GAM) and tutoring on their Easter and Summer school courses.

Ben Beaumont - Rock Steady
Ben teaches music in school every Friday. He has been a Band Leader for 4 years now. Playing in bands and performing live at a young age has made a huge impact on Ben. He now loves giving that same opportunity to children today.
Ben's favourite part of Rocksteady are the concerts. The children put on a great show every time. Parents are so proud to see what their children have achieved during the term. Ben also finds it incredibly rewarding watching the children grow in both confidence and ability each time they perform.
Ben runs rock steady sessions in school every Friday morning. Please see attached letter for more information.
